What happens in the starting sequence and why do you
think the visuals and audio have been used? |
The starting sequence starts with someone telling you the
program followed by a graphic into with a jingle, I think this has been used
to first inform the viewer what programme
they are watching and then the jingle and graphics are something
catchy and memorable for the viewer to remember to hopefully bring viewrs
back. |

found)

storm which was the opening comments, the main bulk of the story is talking

had lost homes or have had their personal lives affected like their jobs or
travel. |

construction of a narrative to help the audience follow the news event. |

It is the process of arranging news stories in a
intentional sequence in a news broadcast, it means determining the order of
importance of which the stories should be told. |
|
What is the term given to the list of stories that will
likely appear on the broadcast? |
Rundown. |
|
Which story is likely to be shown first and how / why is
it selected? |
The story that is most likely to be shown first is the
one that the broadcaster determines to be the most important or interesting,
this is to try and captivate the viewer to encourage them to continue
watching the broadcast. |
|
Why is the ability to think and act quickly important in
news? |
Because things are always changing, for example if a
broadcaster is reporting on a live event they need to be able to swiftly act
on these breaking news story’s to keep their views interested and up to date.

It means when there not any significant news story’s to
report on, it does not been that there is nothing but means there is nothing
that is really gonna capture viewers into watching the news. |

function? |
The final story is often referred to as the closer, the function
of the closer is to leave the audience thinking about the story and it needs
to provide an ending to the broadcast |

R wrote about them? |
It’s a criteria that journalists and news broadcasters use
to decide whether stories are fit for the news. Gatlung and ruge |
